Height: 5'5" (167 cm) Age: 24 Build: 97/58/89 Gender: Female Hair: Black Species: Human Eyes: Blue First Impressions Visual: Alex has olive brown skin, dark blue eyes, and long black hair that reaches a bit past her shoulders. She has a curvy figure that others tend to comment on or notice. Fashion: Alex wears clothes that are given to her, the usual combination being form fitting short dresses and heeled shoes. Every so often she'll wear shorts, but she also has coveralls for more handyman type jobs. Demeanor: Alex is timid and cautious, and tries to keep her head down. She has a tendency to avert her gaze, but will sneak curious glances. When nervous or unsure, Alex either fidgets with her fingers or with whatever she's holding. She also startles easily, though she won't yell in surprise. Her movements are usually hesitant, but every now and then she can be bold when she moves on instinct. When not engaged, she has a far off look in her eyes, and her mind seems to be elsewhere. Sound: Alex is soft-spoken, and sometimes has a slight tremble in her voice. Her accent is different from those who are native to or have lived in Ergastulum for a long time. Ergastulum is a made up place in Europe with a lot of Italian influences, so chances are her accent is closer to that. Her voice is stronger when she sings, and also a bit raspy and higher pitched. Olfactory:Alex doesn't use cologne (unless she's made to or gifed it), so she smells like whatever type of scented shampoo or soap she's currently using. Her preference would be soothing scents. Mental Information: Due to the drugs given to her over the years, Alex does not remember much about her past or even events that have happened during her time with Barry. Her memories seem to return with the right triggers, which can be overwhelming for her. Another symptom she experiences is hallucinations, particularly of Barry, which can put her in a state of fight and flight. Alex suffers from severe trauma and abuse, which exacerbates her condition. History Alex lived with her mother, father, and her younger brother Emilio on the East Side outside of Ergastulum. After her mother was murdered (supposedly by a Twilight), while both children were still quite young, her father turned to alcohol to cope. With her father in an unstable state, Alex took it upon herself to provide and care for the family, particularly her brother. As the years went by, Alex found it more and more difficult to provide for everyone, and being desperate enough she took up an offer for a better job in the city with Barry Abbot. Under the assumption that she would be able to return to her family with more money, Alex left her brother to go with Barry. She then found out that Barry had tricked her, and that she would remain with him for next ten or so years working for him as a prostitute. During her time with Barry, Alex was repeatedly sexually, physically, and mentally abused. Her attempts of escape or rebellion were met with punishment, and Barry made use of drugs to make her more obedient. This particular drug would have other side effects later on, such as temporary memory loss. With Barry trying to expand his territory behind his boss’s back, the Benriya were hired to take him and any of his associates out. However, Worrick decided to spare Alex and took her in as a secretary instead. More recovered memories hint at her having met them earlier on, but even that is still unclear to her. Living with the Benriya, she worked as a secretary and assisted with various handymen jobs. They even got her a job as a singer for the Cristiano family's club, Bastard. With rising tensions due to the brewing war and events taking place, Alex is caught in the middle of it all and given the option to stay or leave. Personality Being with Barry had turned her into more of an empty shell, but even in the state she was, Alex continued to try and fight back. It took several years for him to get her to submit to him, which shows how resilient she can be. She is certainly a lot more timid now, especially because of what she's gone through, but she is still as nurturing and caring as she was prior to her time with Barry, and shows how bold she can be when it comes to protecting other people. Despite her caretaker role, Alex does have her moments of childishness, what with her stubbornness, curiosity, and brief moments of selfishness. She is someone who tries her best, especially when it comes to fighting her inner demons. Visuals
