[For now, Natsuru doesn't seem to awaken. She'll whimper quietly if she loses the soft warmth she's snuggled up to, but she just curls up more regardless of whether it's around Alex or by herself.]
[ Alex apologizes quietly as she covers her with the blanket. Quietly, she'll step out of her room, yawning as she heads to the kitchen. Her mind was still groggy, bed head and all, but she had things to do. What should she make for breakfast this time, she wondered as she opened the fridge to inspect its contents. One of the finches flies over to her shoulder, the others peering from their roosts an starting to chirp. ]
Ah, yes, yes, I'll feed you too. Hang on, okay?
[ Pancakes might be good. She'll feed the birds first, pouring bird seed into their feeders. Once that's done, she'll get to work on those pancakes. ]</small.
[Eventually, the absence of the warm body next to her makes Natsuru stir and shift more. The blanket is nice too, but it's not what she'd grown accustomed to in the unfamiliar bed. So she slowly wakes, at first struck by the unfamiliar surroundings until she remembers Alex lending her the shirt she's wearing. That's it, she remembers she was feeling tired and had... been snuggled up to Alex last thing she recalls. She'd been so soft and warm, she must have dozed off. A light blush colors her cheeks at the memory, while she steps out of the bedroom and follows the smell and sounds of something cooking to the kitchen.]
Alex-san... [Her hair is still disheveled and her voice is sleepy. She even rubs gently at her eyes for a moment.] ... Thanks...
[She'd done so much for her again. It's starting to feel like this is going to become a pattern.]
I, um... I wasn't any trouble, was I?
[She hadn't meant to fall asleep all over Alex like that. It's kind of embarrassing, not because she did it but because of how nice it felt.]
[Now she's blushing even more, because she was still thinking about how warm and safe she felt snuggled up to Alex when she asked. It's not really a big deal, though, is it? They should be able to talk about something like this.]
I didn't mean to fall asleep so suddenly! You were so warm, I... I couldn't keep my eyes open...
[She pauses to take a breath. Alex said she wasn't any trouble, at least, so she shouldn't get herself all worked up over whether she was overstepping some boundary.]
[She probably was tired, given she doesn't remember actually falling asleep. But that's not why she was enjoying the closeness with Alex so much... if she could remember, it would remind her of so many things. Instead, all she knows is that it was really nice and comforting in ways she really needed.]
Ah, sure! Thank you...
[The question snaps her out of her thoughts and back to reality, and she smiles at Alex with a slight blush tracing her cheeks again. She wasn't expecting to be offered breakfast too!
Meanwhile, she looks around the kitchen, still getting a feel for this temple's aesthetic.]
[ Alex transfers another finished product onto a plate. There's enough batter for about two more. Maybe these ones will turn out how she wants...
As Natsuru looks around, she'll find the second floor to be pretty much an open space, with the kitchen connecting to the livingarea. The kitchen also has a view of the edges of the second floor, vines spiling over the railing. A fine will hop down near Natsuru, chirping at her curiously. ]
Would you like fruits with it? I've got...strawberries and blueberries. I think..[ Hopefully they hadn't gone bad yet. ]
[A building that's largely an open space in the middle of nature... it's no wonder the place feels homey to a shinki used to living in a massive tree house in a grotto. The bird's chirp catches her attention, and she gasps, breaking out into a bright smile.]
Hello there~!
[She's never had a bird practically approach her like that before! While still watching it with an amused little smile, she answers Alex.]
Oh, I'll have strawberries, please? If you have them...

[ It reminded her a little of when she slept with her little brother. Except Natsuru was taller..and a woman. ]
Are you okay with pancakes?

Sure thing. Let me check the fridge.
[ Placing the last pancake on top of the stack, she turns off the stove and heads for the fridge, opening it up. ]
....Well..there were strawberries yesterday...Now we've got...[ She pulls out a....rather large and pointy...fruit? She thinks it's a fruit. ]
What..is this?
