[ Alex was a little more than taken aback by the rose, and even more so after reading the letter. It was the first time she'd received such an invitation. Although, the way he spoke reminded her a bit of Worick. It was entirely possible that he didn't mean anything by it. She did want to thank him for accompanying her at the amusement park, so maybe that would work out. ]
Hello Edge. Thank you for the flower. We could just have dinner at the temple I'm staying in if you'd like? You don't need to go through all that trouble.
[...Huh. Completely unsure how to take that, Edge elects to reply with the maximum of openness.]
It isn't trouble! I very much am trying to ask you on a proper date. But if that doesn't suit you, I would love to have dinner with you in your temple as a friendly thing instead.
[ It takes her a while to reply. Mostly because..she had no idea how to. Surely he didn't actually mean...? But if he did, what should she say? A 'proper date' wasn't something she's been asked to before, and somehow it didn't...sit well with her. It wasn't anything Edge did though.
If dinner at your temple is still on the table I wouldn't say no. But it would be nice to go out to dinner sometime too. (As friends!) I'd like to at least get to know you better.
