[ At the very least, he'll clean the counter before getting all the cutting finished up. Given his position, it was only natural that he didn't question those kinds of choices- he was acting on instinct and off of impulse, and it just seemed to be working out.

Save for the biting thing- he had to work on that. Otherwise, he saw nothing wrong with how things were. ]

[At least it wouldn’t take too long to cook the meal. She had to admit, the bite did throb a bit, but it wasn’t something she couldn’t handle.]

[ See, that's why he wanted to be extra thorough when cleaning it. ]

Ah... Not that I always do, but it's kind of the urge I get. With other cats it's, uh, cuz the female's in heat. So it's... Y'know, let's not think too much on it.

[ Sex with Alex was because he was attracted to and enjoyed her- it's not like he was actually trying to get her pregnant. Not just because that's said to be impossible, but it's just the way he knows how to be. ]

[Alex blinks up at his attempt at an answer. Were there things she just wasn't going to get because she was human?]

Okay..Is it just females that get into heat?

[ Hey. There were a lot of things he just couldn't get because he was a pet. ]

Ah... Pretty much. It's the smell that gets us guys into... it.

[ Just as he really liked Alex's scent. Especially recently. ]

[She mixes the ingredients in the pan, the sizzling filling in the gap of silence. She couldn't help but wonder then what would happen if a female cat near by happened to get into heat--Alex, immediately pushed that thought away. Like he said, don't think too much into it.]

Oh hey, I don't have work tonight. Do you wanna do something?

[ She really didn't want to know the answer to that. If only because while he'd respond, all the fervor might be redirected, and Alex probably didn't want that to be the reason he started approaching her. ]

You don't?

[ The rare day off, which doesn't happen nearly enough. At least to someone like a cat person. ]

Sure. What kind of something?

[[If it ever came up..she'd rather that than him going to find that cat. But thankfully, that's not something they have to deal with at the moment.]

Mm..maybe we could go out? Watch a movie or something? Oh..It's getting cold so we should get you warmer clothes.

[ If she wasn't there, like for work, or to pick up groceries, where those stores didn't like pet people wandering inside it, then he might be compelled. It wasn't the season for that, though, so they were safe from having to worry about that for a few months. ]

Ah, I'm used to the weather, so there isn't a worry about getting more clothes.

[ That'd be another hit to costs he wasn't sure if Alex could handle or not. He did walk out without a jacket and decided to nap outside the door when he locked himself out that one night. ]

Am... I allowed to go into movie theaters?

[Alex looks around..then goes to grab a hat in the room, putting on Shizuo's head.]

There! We can just hide your tail with a coat and they won't know. Right?

[bartenderizing]

[ He shrinks down a bit, to be easier to reach and also because he wasn't used to having things on his head. Which gets increasingly obvious from the visible twitching of ears from under the hat. Everything was a little muffled now, with is ears twitching being the sound over everything else as well. Meaning it's more distracting than something that was actively impairing his ability to hear. ]

Hm? I, uh, I guess. Never tried sneaking into one before.

First time for everything, right?

[Somehow it's a little exciting. Though she knows it can get bad if they do find out..]

Do you wanna go? I mean..we can also just go around...and we really do need to get you warmer things.

[There was no arguing about that.She doesn't want him freezing like before.]

[ He already feels a little bad that you have to spend more on food and such with him around, Alex. Clothes can be expensive! ]

I guess we'll need to get a coat either way, to sneak in...

[ Meaning he'd like to see what that whole experience was like. Plus, it'd be with Alex and was her idea. ]

[She was happy to hear he was on board.]

[She didn't know what was showing, considering she hasn't had a reason to go check them out before, but there had to be something he'd like to see.]

Never really saw one before, actually.

[ Which made sense, given what he was and his situation until she had found him. ]

Just part of the ones you fall asleep to when you pass out on the couch.
