[Alex blinks at that, then reaches up to brush his hair out of his face.]

[ His eyes ease close, letting her play with his hair. ]

I guess you wouldn't, huh? Anyone would want to sleep better than they usually do.

[She did wonder if the morning wood was going to be an everyday thing.]

....Did..you do this with the other humans you were with?

Yeah, when I was young. Not really after that...

[ Well, he danced around the subject for long enough. ]

Actually, I lived with the other strays for most my life. The humans I had when I was a kitten weren't really prepared for the size I was getting, or the other things about me, so they had me leave before I accidentally hurt their kid.

Didn't really have humans after that.

[Being jealous of his former owners felt even more embarrassing now. Still, for them to think that Shizuo would ever hurt their kids... Alex wrapped a protective arm around him.]

They obviously missed out...

[ Shizuo understood the concern. Then again, he was the one that saw the problems that he caused, even if they were unintentional. Which is why he was fine with shifting and getting more comfortable in the protective 'hug'. ]

It just wasn't a right fit with them. That's all.

Is it terrible of me to say that I’m kinda glad?

[Because it sounded bad to her, but she wasn’t really apologetic either.]

[ It still meant that he lived on the streets for a good portion of his life, but she was right. ]

Being here with you is what's right. If that hadn't happened, then I'd be stuck in a house that wasn't really mine.

[ That this felt right to him made her hug him even tighter, pressing the side of her face against the side of her face. It filled her chest with so much—she wasn’t even sure what this feeling was, but it was stong.]

[Her voice was soft, barelt a whisper.]

[ Barely, but you barely need to use any volume for him to hear it. Now that the misunderstandings seem to be out of the way, he turns his head to nuzzle his nose against Alex's before kissing her again.

Because now she gets that it's not something he just does to anyone. ]

[Which is why she doesn't pull away this time. With how strongly she was feeling about him right now, she didn't want to. It's a welcome, gentle gesture, and she finds herself leaning into it just a little. ]

[ Like he said, because it was Alex, if she wanted or needed anything he'd do it for her. Which is why as she started to lean into it, Shizuo leaned more but also rolled more onto his back, pulling her to be on top of him. He wanted it the other way, like when he usually woke her up, but there was always that moment of panic Alex had. He didn't want that. He just wanted all this affection and closeness. ]

[Alex let out a small sound in surprise when he suddenly rolls them over. She pulls away just enough to look at him, her hair draping around the sides of his face. Her own feels warm as she dips closer to kiss him softly again.]

[ He... Liked this angle. Even as the hair around him made his ears twitch a bit. Leaning up to meet into the kiss, his hands stroke back up her back, having been under her shirt again. This won't help the morning wood go away, but he's definitely enjoying it all. ]

[Alex feels her shirt start to ride up her back, but she’s unsure about what to do. This felt so comfortable, so good. Her leg slides up against Shizuo’s, and she let’s out a soft sigh into the kiss.]

[ At least he wasn't trying to take her shirt off or purposefully ride it up. He was content with feeling her skin under his hands, as he stroked them back down and up again. Very content, as he was fine using that sigh to chain one kiss into another. ]

[It takes a bit to get her to stop, but she eventually pulls away, looking down at him again.]

...Do..you want breakfast? I should..porbably make something..

Do... You want to make anything?

[ It's subtle, but there's a look in his eyes where he's obviously comfy like this. Then again, Shizuo was fine with being in bed all the time. ]

[It was still obvious enough for Alex to catch it.]

Not..really...

[It’s more like she wasn’t sure if it was okay to just stay like this, although it felt like she could. Alex didn’t remember kissing feeling this good.]

Can't we just stay in bed, then?

[ If you always wanted a reminder that it was okay to stay in bed a while longer, pets were a great way for it. Though cats were better at it than dogs. ]

What do you wanna do instead?

[He was pretty convincing.. Alex rested her head against his shoulder, nuzzling under his jaw.]

Nothing really... I wanted to spend more time with you...so this is fine.

[ And he's proud and happy enough about this to nuzzle back into her and settle enough to purr. At least his body is finally settling. ]

This'll be more than fine. We can always go and have food a little later.

[Oh, she liked how he purred...how his chest rumbled beneath her. ]

[She found she also liked how the crook of his neck smelled.]

[ He liked the feeling of Alex on top of him, relaxing and doing what she wanted. Which is why his arms shift to wrap more around her in a loose but possessive manner. ]

I'd hope so. I feel comfortable.

Really? I’m not too heavy?

[She nuzzles against his neck more, her lips pressing against his skin.]
