[ Alex was just about to get ready to head out to one of her part time jobs when someone came knocking. Was it Nel? She didn't pop in during this time, though. When she opens the door, she doesn't see someone right away, but she does see some tufts of hair.
That has her looking downwards, her eyes widening in surprise at finding a young boy standing there. He seemed to freeze for a moment, so she wonders if maybe he realized he was at the wrong place?

[Sharpshot is by to deliver a package one morning, looking quite pleased with himself when he finds Alex to drop it off. Apparently he's having a blast delivering mail again.
The package is wrapped simply in brown paper and tied with string, and contains a metal hair piece with a simple enchantment to magnify sound when it's turned on - a microphone, essentially, for when she sings, and a leather bag contains a set of ornamental rings for her braids. It's all hand-made, of course.

Wanted to let you know that I won't be at the tavern for awhile. Yeah, I know what you're thinking: it's hard to imagine me going without a drink for more than one night in a row, so rest assured that I won't be, because I'm packing flasks of my usual order before we set off on the Wilder expedition tomorrow.
You definitely don't need me to tell you this, but take care of yourself, while the rest of us are gone. You're one of the things that's worth coming back to the city for, so... hold your head high, yeah? Be proud. And let me know if you want any souvenirs from out in the Wilde.

[Natsuru happens to be in the neighborhood today, and idly wondering about what the pretty merrow she'd met must be up to. She hasn't really been brave enough to have a real conversation with her since that time they were both under those weird monster-enhancing effects. But she seemed so sweet and nice, even then. Natsuru can't help but wonder if she should be the one to let Alex know she'd still like to get to know her better... maybe even be friends?

No other memory he'd trespassed into had affected him quite as strongly as hers, and... the lingering vestige of emotion has been difficult to deal with. They'd spoken only once before, and yet he'd seen such a personal (horrifying) moment of her past.

[ it seems like a profitable, low-risk effort: go to the lake, talk to the lady ghost, get rich! no way that could go wrong, right? and the brief does say it's not supposed to get violent... which is why nami is comfortable teaming up with alex instead of a burly man who could do all the hypothetical fighting for her.

[ Alex had the same thought when it came to the level of difficulty of the quest. With it being in a lake, she at least felt confident she could be of some use to Nami should anything go side ways. It helped her out too since Nami could keep her from jumping in. A lake this beautiful? Resistance was almost futile. ]
