Oh— Sorry!

[Alex averts her gaze to her own food.]

I um...I like watching you eat so..

[bartenderizing]

You do...?

[ The curiosity certainly has his ears peaked again. ]

[sing_for_me]

Yeah, it’s like...

[How do you explain.]

Knowing you’re fed..and that you like my cooking.

[bartenderizing]

[ His eyebrows started to raise as well. ]

Of course I do. You're mine.

[ Why wouldn't he like his human's cooking? Save for when he's being picky. ]

[Alex almost chokes on a mushroom.]

W-wha..?

[bartenderizing]

I mean, you brought me in, but I said it back then. How I was going to stay here with you.

[ More like he kept saying that he liked being in the apartment and asked if he really had to go. Somehow this meant to it being obvious that he seems to have claimed Alex and her apartment as his, and his home. ]

[Oh, that’s what he meant.]

Ahaha, yeah, I remember.

[she’d told him then too that he was free to stay as long as he wanted. Alex never tried to make him leave, but she did say if he ever wanted to, she wouldn’t hold him back. Although she’d be pretty sad if he did though, as she’s gotten accustomed to having someone with her. Shizuo’s presence was...pleasant, and it helped her small apartment feel more like home.]

I like it here, and I like having you as my human.

[ In a way, that would mean something very significant. Not just in a way, but it generally was that way. Dog people would make it seem like it was a lot more important and meaningful than the way that Shizuo said it, as if it were obvious. The most obvious thing, even. ]

[Alex smiled warmly at that.]

Yeah? That makes me happy.

[It made her wonder who picked up who. It was nice, feeling wanted like this.]

I like having you here too.

[bartenderizing]

Yeah, well...

[ He slumped forward into his food a bit, now eating the meal as it was- mushrooms and all. Keeping his head down was a good way of hiding his expression, feeling a little shy about those things. ]

I'm... glad you found me.

[sing_for_me]

[Ah, she really wanted to pet him...but he was on the other side of the table. He could be really cute sometimes.]

Oh, I brought back some dessert. Did you want some?

[bartenderizing]

[ That got his attention. Immediately his head was back up and his ears as perked as they possibly could be. ]

What kind of dessert?

I got ice cream. You okay with salted caramel.

[She stands to grab the tub and some spoons, beunging her chair closer to him after putting them on yhe table so hey can share]

[bartenderizing]

I mean, I like ice cream.

[ He'll happily also slide his chair so it was right next to her. Though he may be leaning more on the table right now. What are manners? ]

[She opens up the tub, because who needs cups, and hands him a spoon.]

Great! I was worried you wouldn’t..

[bartenderizing]

I mean, it's just sweet cream, right?

[ And he's proven to be a big fan of dairy rather quickly. Taking the spoon, he first goes for some along the top edge, curling it a little before putting the whole thing in his mouth.

The ears and tail are probably sign enough that he likes it. ]

[She loved when his ears and tail moved like that. Alex took a few bites herself, just as pleased with the taste. Her attention is still on Shizuo though, wiping off any ice cream that gets on his face.]

[bartenderizing]

[ The first time she does it, he flinches away for a moment- not out of fear, but to immediately rub at the spot and see that the ice cream was no longer there. ]

I could've licked that up... Like that spot.

[ Which is when he lightly licks a spot that was just a little away from the edge of Alex's lips- his tongue was just a little more textured than a human's. Just another small reminder that he was a pet, instead of a 'normal' person. ]

[It was her turn to flinch, bringing a hand up to where he licked her.]

Y-you could’ve just used your fingers..!

[Even if he was a pet, and the texture of his tongue was proof of that, Alex still saw him as a person. And normally people wouldn’t do that unless.. yeah. The clinging to she got used to, but things like this still flustered her.]

I can reach it with my tongue just fine, though.

[ What's wrong with grooming his human? She didn't have a problem when he fixed her hair. The rules of being a house cat were weird. ]

Still...just..don’t go doing that to other people. They might get the wrog idea. Or upset...

[bartenderizing]

Why would I do it to others? They're not mine.

...That’s...that’s good, ahaha..

[The thought of him doing that to someone else bothered her a bit.. but she put that aside.]

Ah! I didn’t notice the time— I gotta get ready.

[She starts gathering the plates and putting them in the sink.]

Shizuo, I got you a button up shirt, right? You should wear that.

[bartenderizing]

[ He'll just... eat some more of the ice cream before putting what's left away. At least he does help with the cleanup of things, unless it involved a smell that was too strong and not to his liking. ]

Yeah, I'll get it out and get dressed.

[ He's pretty sure Alex didn't like him walking around outside in just his underwear. Yet for as much as he's figured out, he still follows Alex when she goes to get dressed. At least he has the excuse of his things being there too. ]

[Alex was just about to take her top off when he walked in. She brings it back down when she sees him.]

Um...mind if I dress up first? I’ll let you know when it’s your turn.
