Yes, yes.

[She gets up as well, her hair a mess and her still geeling a bit groggy. Alex pauses a moment to look at him.]

I told you you might catch a cold if you don’t wear a shirt...

[bartenderizing]

You did...

[ His ears only flicked back for a moment before perking back up. Reaching over to get the shirt he left on the floor, Shizuo closely follows behind Alex. After putting the clothes back on, his fingers started to run through Alex's hair, starting from the bottom.

He could at least clean her up a bit, if she's making his food. It's certainly when he's the most affectionate ]

[It was strange at first, him fixing her hair, but Alex soon found it quite comfortable.

She takes the milk out for him first, then holds the fridge door open. There isn’t that much in there, but there were enough ingredients to make a few different dishes at least.]

What do you want to eat today, Shizuo?

[bartenderizing]

[ Looming and leaning over Alex's shoulder, his eyes darted and fixated over everything. Honestly, he wanted it all. Just like he always did, even if it led to a stomachache later on. ]

Mm... Something with meat in it.

[When he leans on her shoulder, she reaches up to pet his hair again.]

Dooo...you want hamburger?

[bartenderizing]

[ And petting him earns Alex the gift of him nuzzling his cheek against hers and him wrapping an arm around her waist. ]

Mmm... That sounds good.

[ Can't get more 'meat' than that. ]

[She chuckles.]

It’s going to be hard to cook with you attached to me.

[bartenderizing]

I suppose...

[ His ears flick back again, just for a moment, before he detaches- shaking his hand for a moment as his nail got caught in a thread of Alex's clothes. Taking the milk, he hopped to sit on the counter next to the stove. ]

You have work today too, right?

[Well, there’s another hole in her shirt. Alex starts taking out ingredients and placing them on th counter to start cooking.]

Yeah, later tonight.

[Alex worked night shifts at a bar, so she was asleep in the morning. Thankfully she had time wih him in the afternoon.]

[ At least they were tiny little things, and not huge holes.

Drinking the milk, he's watching her hands put everything together for a little bit. Just enjoying the silence for a little, before he interrupted it. ]

... I'm gonna go with you this time.

[sing_for_me]

[Alex looked up from the burgers she was molding.]

...To work? What brought that up?

[bartenderizing]

I don't want to be waiting around in the apartment again.

[ He's feeling pent up, and while it's not safe for him to be wandering around like he was a stray again, he was never meant to simply be a house cat the entire time. Not to mention, every time Alex came back, she had all these different smells on her. ]

Plus... I wanna see the place for myself.

[sing_for_me]

[Oh..]

I’m sorry..you must’ve felt cooped up.. I don’t mind if you come.

[She was pretty sure they wouldn’t mind.]

[bartenderizing]

Yeah? Good.

[ While sounding like he made the decision and there was no request, there being that kind of permission had the tiniest of flicks at the end of his tail go back and forth. ]

[Alex finishes cooking up the hamburgers, making mushroom sauce to go with it. They still had rice so she just needed to reheat that.]

Here you go.

[She places the dishes down on the the table.]

...You might get bored, are you sure you want to come?

[bartenderizing]

Thanks.

[ Hopping off the counter, he at least gets the utensils for them both, seeing as he was the one blocking it. ]

I get bored here when waiting. If anything, it'll give me more to do.

[That’s true..at least he’d have more to see. The bar was relatively safe. You’ll have a fight between drunkards evey now and then, but nothing too extreme. At least her co-workers were nice, and so was the manager.]

[She smiles when he hands the utensils to her. Alex waits till he takes a bite, wanting to know how he found the taste.]

Mhm.

[ Sitting down, he's about to start taking a bite, having broken off a piece of the hamburger... Only to start moving little bits of mushroom from the gravy off of it.

He liked it a lot the last time. He probably will next time, or before the dish is done this one around.

His ears are perked forward and there's already that telltale happy flicking of the tail while he's chewing. Despite the straight and flat expression he had while doing so. ]

It hits the spot.

[Satisfied with his reaction, Alex starts to eat too. She still watches him though, always learning something new from it.]

You don’t like the mushroom?

[Alex was sure he ate them last time.]

[bartenderizing]

Sure I do.

[ Though it doesn't change that he's sort of concentrating all of the pieces to one spot

[Was he saving it for later? Alex continued to watch him cutiohsly as she ate. Theh didn’t taste bad, she thought.]

[ He glances back up from his plate, seeing Alex still watching him. Slowly his ears start to ease back, and his tail starts to disappear as it curls and hides behind him. ]

... What?

[sing_for_me]

Oh— Sorry!

[Alex averts her gaze to her own food.]

I um...I like watching you eat so..

[bartenderizing]

You do...?

[ The curiosity certainly has his ears peaked again. ]

Knowing you’re fed..and that you like my cooking.
